Background
The PBS Black Culture Connection (BCC) is an online resource and guide to films, stories and voices across public television centered around Black history & culture.
My Role
As Senior Director of Multiplatform Content, I oversee the team responsible for the editorial curation of content on the BCC website and social channels. This includes developing digital content strategies to support PBS programs to reach new and underserved audiences. This included the launch of a digital series "What I Hear When You Say."
Annually to celebrate Black History Month, PBS Digital hosted the #BlackHistoryPBS social campaign, incorporating weekly themes of art, community leaders, women and education to highlight a wide range of content.
Beyond Black Culture Connection and Black History Month, I oversaw the development of campaigns to reach other diverse audiences during Hispanic Heritage Month, Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and Native American Heritage Month.
Webby Awards
